Requirements gathered at the Marine Microbes meeting

We had a great time at BPA's Marine Microbes consortium workshop this week in Sydney, and used the opportunity to listen to 21 fantastic talks by researchers in the consortium about how they currently access and analyse the marine metagenomics data as well as their future plans.

We also took the opportunity to conduct a short requirements gathering exercise by introducing this project and then asking all present to jot down their requirements wish lists:

Data interrogation, analysis and visualisation functionalities that we heard about in the talks, as well as requirements that were directly collected in the group exercise have been added to the list of requirements. As the project moves forward, we'll begin to rationalise and rank the list of requirements based on priority.
