The plan for the next 3 weeks of development
We undertook planning for Sprint #3 last week, and are continuing to build a minimal viable product that works from end to end and will allow users to
This last step (shown in red below) will close the loop so that users can see the results of a relevant analysis type and will mean that we'll then be in a position to start involving users in testing and providing feedback on what they like or don't like.
Other things we are working on in Sprint #3 include:
- log into the BPA Data Portal,
- select a dataset,
- send this to Galaxy-Australia for NMDS ordination,
- and retrieve the results.

Other things we are working on in Sprint #3 include:
- implementing support for BIOM format files;
- starting to wrap the six R scripts from the Rhea pipeline (that can be run independently or as a set) for Normalisation; Alpha-Diversity; Beta-Diversity; Taxonomic-Binning; Serial-Group-Comparisons and Correlations, so that these can be invoked via Galaxy and its GUI;
- and work to streamline the connectivity between the BPA Data Portal and Galaxy-Australia so users will have a more seamless user experience.
More detail is in the Trello Board.
