Training material available

To complement the recent national training session across 11 sites we conducted in collaboration with the EMBL Australia Bioinformatics Resource (EMBL-ABR) network to demonstrate how to use Mothur and other tools in Galaxy Australia to investigate 16S amplicon-based environmental genomic data (materials are here and a recording of the event is here), we have also produced some introductory material for an ecoscience audience which is aimed at de-mystifying how DNA-sequencing based approaches can be used to assess microbial diversity in different environments.
